Good news, probably due to Ryan's intervention and after my e-mail to the Swiss JLR importer last week, I received a reply not directly from the importer, but from what I think is a professional event organizer outfit.
Essentially they confirm the date, place and basic program details, and they say that those who have registered, will shortly receive their personal invitations by regular mail (La Poste). Thereafter, during June, we again will receive a letter with all the detail of the program of that celebration day. Sounds good to me. Below is content of the mail I received for those interested. Unquote Now, I am going to do one more thing here. I have no idea how they are treating registrations from outside Switzerland, so as I know one UK based def2 member who runs a Swiss Defender in the UK, and who has registered for the event, I will answer their e-mail once again, specifically providing all personal details of this member, and asking them to confirm that they will also send the letters to him. For now, waiting, Eric You never actually own a Defender. Things start to fall in place. Today I received an e-mail from Land Rover inviting me to register on line again for the 04 July event. At first glance it looked the same as the website they created for this earlier (www.defender.ch), but I decided to register again via the link in their e-mail, and it all is a bit more detailed than before. This time they ask for the full VIN number, then the site provides all my personal info, and last they ask for how many Defenders and how many people will attend the event. As said, a bit more thorough than before.
This one must be the real thing, because when I pushed the registration button, I received a prompt reply e-mail whereby they confirmed good receipt and informed me that all further invitation details and program details would be sent by regular mail later in May and in June. Just mentioning this here, as some others may have registered via the www.defender.ch website too, and hopefully got the same e-mail today as I. But suggest you register again via the link in the e-mail, even if you already registered on that website before. Eric Edit, they promise an event which will be more than worth the spirit of the Defender, and all Defender drivers at the event will receive an "exclusive" present. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

^^ Vincent and Steve, just back from a trip and see your posts. Suggest we wait until after the long weekend, and if next week tuesday or wednesday you still have no letter received by mail, I will then send the event organizers, whose coordinates I have, a follow up e-mail asking about both your cases. Vincent, I may then need some additional contact information from you, but let's first see what happens between now and next week.

Steve, I just reread the last e-mail I received from the event organizers in answer to my e-mail to them (with you on copy) whereby I provided all your personal details, and where I told them that your ICE actually is a real Swiss Defender , remember.
Now, she replied to that e-mail, but only to me, not copying you. Essence of the message is herebelow. But essentially she said that once you have registered on line, and have received their e-mail confirmation, that the next thing you will get in the mail (post) is going to be in June, and that will include the full program details. I think the two pictures of the letter and card I posted above, and which I received by La Poste may be something that LR Switzerland are sending out to their Swiss customers, probably to all Swiss Defender and older Land Rover drivers they have on record. Actually when you read the bottom of the text on the invitation card in my second picture, you will read exactly that. So I think as long as you registered, and received the confirmation e-mail as you did, all is good. But, I still can send her a follow up e-mail next week to make sure. Here is content of her last mail response to me: Cher Monsieur (ericvv) Merci pour votre réponse. -Signed- You never actually own a Defender.
