Ripley Castle Spring Adventure
I'm thinking of going down to the Ripley Castle Spring Adventure, out of the Saturday or Sunday, which is the best day to be there?

I don't wan't to go there just for the Sunday and have everything winding down.

I went on the Saturday last year, was reasonably busy but not crowded.

Sunday should be equally busy and maybe a chance for bargains if show items haven't sold by mid-afternoon but other than that either day should be similar.

Thats's true - I'm always up for a bargain, even if it's something I don't really need!

If you're looking for a bargain, Saturday is the day. I'm camping all weekend, although I wasn't impressed with this show last year. An engine to TDi for!

Well we should be there Thumbs Up

Now I hate the nasty D word, Razz however we will have some interesting beers with us. So any disgraceful D2 member uttering the nasty filthy D word in my direction may just be pointed towards the beer supply.

These beers will range from Fun beer through cherry, peach, coconut beer to trappist beers, then we have some beers which definitely carry a health warning as they go up to 12-14%

Now if they are capable of uttering the nasty D word after drinking 10 bottles of beer which carry a health warning they might, just might deserve a tiny smidgeon of a good will gesture. Must admit I have not heard of some of these beers.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG1

Trappist is reserved for ME, ME, ME Razz

Have a crate of it in the porch, Mr D has had a crate or two.

I need to investigate what beer we actually have. Lets just say I have one or two brands I have never heard off.

Well I have not tried coconut beer, yet.

However I have tried 'Palm wine' and can confirm good fresh Palm wine is highly drinkable. Hic Thumbs Up

So do I put your name on a bottle of coconut beer then SC?

Davew and I will be at Ripley, on the Yorkshire Off Road Club stand - please do come along and say hello. We will be having a wander around the show at some points, so if we are not at the stand when you call, please do stop by later.

Can't promise to have any beer or cake on offer though, but I'll see what I can muster up!
