United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black
I recently bought some from 4x4 Overlander (Leeds on here) and he had Nakatanenga ones that I think were cheaper.

I went for the black replacements to cover the gap left by the original plastic jobs with the silver series cowl think and then black guards for over the top.

Thank you. They're about the same price though!

I cannot really comprehend why a pair of (presumably) laser-cut flat panels with three holes and a small louvre cost getting on for £200! Shocked

Since the louvre isn't really necessary and is the only complex aspect I might look at getting some locally or making a pair.

^^^ Thumbs Up

The same idea had occurred to me, I am on the lookout for a low cost set to try. It might look awful, but then again it might do the job perfectly.

Can JLR just please paint 400 non a/c grills Grassmere Green for all the non a/c Heritage UK ones please! Rolling Eyes

It would be interesting to order a non a/c 'standard' Defender and then have it arrive at the dealer with an a/c grill fitted!! I am sure the dealer would quickly replace it under warranty... YOLO... You Only Live Once...

That works well. Thumbs Up

I'm not sure it would work as well on a non-AC vehicle like mine though, since the ridge moulding on the headlight panels has nothing to run out against.

I added the air-con surround so the headlight surrounds are original anyway on a non-aircon Defender.

Sadly that won't really work on a late (TD5/Puma) model due to the holes for the horn, between the side and indicator lights.

I had the absolute pleasure to do the Heritage Tour last week. Brilliant! Our trucks are wort every penny!
I was so excited about the last bit of the tour... the opportunity to see a 'Heritage' 90 in the 'flesh'!
Loved it... apart from the grill. It is just AWFUL IMHO and lets the entire vehicle down.
1: Horrid 'plasticty' plastic!
2: The Grassmere Green colour accentuates the really 'Plastic' nature of the grill.
3: The plastic feels really 'cheap' and easily broken.
4: I am sure the 'Landrover' badge will be stolen... rivets into plastic?
5: WHY on earth do UK Heritage models, without AC, have to have the huge enlarged A/C grill that just enhances all of the above? At least specify a smaller non A/C grill for non A/C cars
Part of me is ignoring this... as the rest of the car is great. But I am not sure I can really live with these misgivings. And I don't want to add an 'aftermarket' grill...
I hope someone from JLR reads these forums... at the very least, please give the non A/C UK cars a non A/C grill. PLEASE!
