2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black

2.2 Manifold - Any known issues?

Smelled exhaust gas on the way home today.

Arrived home and parked up, popped the bonnet and I have smoke/exhaust coming from the manifold/DPF area intermittently. Went away as the engine cooled.

There seems to be some soot on the yellow cap on the overflow thingie too - so may have been happening for a while.

13k miles 63plate -

warped/cracked manifold? or just arrived home at the same time a regen was happening?

This turned out to be a loose DPF sensor (got the dealer to check whilst having the oil pump recall done).
