I like the Blackvue's too but never taken the time to compare.
They could be well worth it if some idiot goes into you. Last edited by custom90 on 21st Apr 2015 10:08pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Will do Greeni,
I found this video quite useful to see what each model looks like...... At around 5 minutes in you get to see the difference in products. It's nice to see they have changed the ring around the camera that stands out on older models. It looks a lot more subtle. |

^ Steve.... After the close call I had the other day I made the decision that I must buy one asap. It would have been very nice to have it on camera

Sweep - What happened? I think for us the biggest risk is being rear ended.
Seems to be most common for Defenders than anything. I suppose it would be useful if there was other illegal activity on the road you could just report it. Someone overtook a bike today on a road with poor view and a lot of bends. I was towing and had to slow down from about 45 to 20 very fast just to avoid him as he was coming straight down my side of the road. Poor judgment to say the least, it was an older man so just misjudged the bikes speed I think. It still hacks me off seeing people messing about on phones too whilst driving. |

A guy on a motorbike with very poor judgement, basically going too fast and the avoid rear ending the car in front of him at high speed he come across me. Luckily for him I had seen him approaching and just knew what was about to happen. I managed to open just enough gap but he come very close to going under my car
Not the worst thing to happen to me however I would have loved to have it on camera for personal piece of mind. I agree with you regarding mobile phones, personally I think the punishment needs to be tougher! |

A biker and a Defender are not a good combination in an accident what so ever.
The trouble is even if you haven't done a thing wrong and your perfectly innocent if something happen you'd still be treated as a suspect especially if it was serious. With the camera you could just say 'there you go officer' and that is what happened. |

I am running a Blackvue dr650 2 channel set up, bought from as good seller on eBay. It works very well, and has not impact on my DAB radio. I have run the front/rear cable along the offside headlining whilst the DAB aerial is in the alpine window on the nearside.
The front camera looks fairly inconspicuous, situated in front of the rear view mirror, whilst the rear camera is situated high up on the rear door window. The PC software is pretty good. The wireless reception for the mobile phone app is slightly hit and miss, not connecting first time, bit works well when connected. Overall a positive. |

Assume you are talking about BlackVue ... but which model did you try? Is it the wifi being on that disrupts the DAB? What sort of DAB aerial do you have? The Rules:- 1 Buccaneer comes back alive. 2 Chicks dig scars. GB260 |
