Leathery Bits on the 'Bay
Has anyone got any experience of these?
Look to be quite good quality and could be nice if you take your time in fitting them. Considerably cheaper than the competition if you don't mind fitting them yourself. They do leathery bits for dash, doors and other trim bits too.

PS I don't want this to turn into some slagging match over trim companies, anything unhelpful please keep to yourself. Tom

Perhaps this may be better placed in the 'Ebay and Bargain Spots' section ... just saying Thumbs Up Adventure isn't paved!

I think to a certain extent, the leather is all much of a muchness, as long as it's of decent quality and the stiching is done properly. The difficulty comes when you have to glue and stretch/shrink the leather onto the interior trim. If you F$&% it up, you have a ruined piece of leather and possibly a damaged piece of dash trim.

Depending on how good you are at the labour, give it a go.

I'd rather not take the risk which is why I'd pay a bit more and but the ball in someone else's court - if someone like FCX Outiftters damages the trim or leather, they'll do it again at their cost til its' perfect.

I've learnt that unless I'm very confident I'll be able to do something properly, then I'll either go and learn how to do it first, or failing that, get someone else to do it for me.

Good luck if you go this way. And please take a milion photos so that we can learn from you (or your mistakes)

Hopefully it'll be a success!
