Hi
New 110 was due to be built 15th September, and dealer says it's been showing on the system as built for the last 2 weeks, BUT is not being released by LR. Says he has a number of other LRs, not just defenders in the same status. Wondered if anyone else was in the same boat or has a danny la rue what the problem is. Thanks A |

LR quality control ( stop laughing all of you
 ) randomly take finished builds from the line to check and that can delay the delivery by a couple of weeks, could be that? |

they could have been pulled it from the line for quality checks they pick cars randomly for this. 2.4 90 XS

Most likely explanation is that there is some sort of 'negotiation' going on behind the scenes between Tata & LR?

Doubt that There could be a number of reasons...even the dealers not telling the truth or they ordered it late! Mike |

Ask for the chassis number. If they are able to tell you then it's stuck at QC, if not then it's not built. If it's not built then ask them for the 'planned delivery date' on Vista which is the ordering system.

If not built it could be due to a shortage of engines, in the press today.

Have the chassis number, VIN etc,
The dealer forwarded me a copy of the deatails from the system (Vista?) and Factory Complete Date: 13/09/10 Common Status Point: Order Built Brand Status Point: Off Assembly (DDC) Common Order Type: Sold to Private Customer Common Type of Sale: Retail Sold Phoned 0800 110 110 and they are checking with the order team what the issue is and "will get back to me". Sounds like may be delayed by QC (as suggested). |

Bit more info from landrover, they had problems with one of the components fitted to a batch of defenders (L/R customer services either don't know or wouldn't tell me which component).
They should all be corrected early next week and delivered to the dealers at the end of next week. So by the time that's all slipped and the dealer has PDId, expect to pick it up 23rd or 30th Oct Hopefully we won't have a load more rain between now and then and will not need to bale out the MGB (AGAIN!). |

My 90 should be built on the 15th Oct and at the dealer by 19th Oct. The sooner the better I say. My current car (not my 110) has just dumped it's ATF all over my drive! "If it ain't sideways, you just ain't tryin'! |
