It's probably just the wire spring retainers that hold the small plate in - there is another thread run in at the moment about the Td5 dash, you can see pictures of the springs there.

The bezel on mine broke, I tried putting it back in with the springs, no good, I tried a bit of superglue, no good.
I put the bezel back in with black silicone, it's invisible fix and no worries ever again. In the unlikely event I have to take the bezel out, then it can be cut out. |

my bezel also broke by the last owner, I have the new bezel coming, on line order from UK,
but no idea how to replace it? any idea? 
I also ordered the retention wire and clips, even I don't know if I'm going to need them! |
