2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey

for my sins I'm driving a 2000my citreon berlingo 1.9d

does anyone know how best to blank the egr off on this?
its an absolute nightmare at the moment. for examply I can be crusing along the motorway happy as Larry at say 65mph nice and smooth no smoke but if the road declines and no load on the engine the whole world behind be disappears into a cloud of white smoke!!!
(you're thinking it should be black smoke but I'm running on bio so its white) - I think?

its certainly no good for those following.

but as said its not all the - I'm absolutely sure its the egr. I reckon it sticks open when it shouldn't causing very poor combustion and hence all the white smoke (I'm sure if I were using ordinary fuel it would be black smoke - but then thats stuff is too expensive)
