I don't have DRLs anymore - but I fitted the VSR for other accessories like a sub, cruise control etc
It's amazing how many items you want to run on ignition live and the VSR switches a few seconds after the engine is started |

only small possible problems if using a vsr as ign live are
1 if you want to fit a battery charger like a ctek then as voltage rises when charging the systems connected to vsr become live 2 only live when engine running ( good for not flattening battery , not so good if you just want anything on with ign on not running good for some things , not so good for others other way is run two wires to battery box 1 x ign live taken from cig lighter , 1 x from 1st click aux live like radio live , you only need small wires say 5 amp wire so the two can run togather in small protective sleeving , then use these just as switching feed for relays mounted in battery box then in future anything you fit can be run from the relays without needing to pick up feeds anywhere again , this way you don't need to keep altering vehilcle wiring this way is a bit like future proofing your wiring for added toys later on , sub , fridge , aux sockets , extra lights etc take perm feeds from battery for relays via 30-40 amp fuse to muilti outlet fuse box for lighter feeds off that there only small wires so don't run anything direct from them , always though relay , one 30-40 amp relay will run most toys just need to add up total load when adding anything all depends on how many toys you might add in the future !! |

Thank you munch makes a lot of sense. I'm fine with mechanical work but wiring baffles me.
