If any one was on the M5 Friday afternoon Jcn 27-28 they might have thought they were seeing double. I was heading South and on my way home, my old 90 was heading North. The company chairman that now owns it on his farm had been down to Fowey in Cornwall with his boat. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Hi Lewis,
Bet your old one is more reliable than your present one with all the woes you've experienced. Any news on a revisit to Poole? I am now based there on a permanent basis now Condor have pulled the plug on Weymouth. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Good Morning Mal, Hope you are ok ? Uurrrr both the 57plate and 12 plate have had their problems, I actually think the 12 plate has been more reliable (touch wood I have not just jinxed that) yes I have had 2 engines in this one but I put that down to bad luck, who could have imagined that due to my high mileage mine would then get replaced with an engine that had to be collected from the production line as no spares were available at that time from the same batch, that's just bad luck. But Land Rover warranty I cant fault it. They have both had wiper assys and various things go wrong, turbo hoses on the 12 plate are a pain in the arse still waiting for BAS to get some proper ones in for me, but the 57 plate was blighted with egr valve and gearbox problems as well as having an engine as well it had 2 gearboxes and 2 back diffs and various prop shafts. Its having a quiet retirement now, the od run round Bromsgrove and trips to Cornwall.
I was thinking of having that Robin insulation tester off of you, will it test motor windings and contactor faults ?? I really need to lay my hands on a earth leakage tester as we are having lots of problems with our cranes tripping site supply's, we are now recommending the use of si trips super immune to high frequency tripping seams to be working at the moment. No work in Poole at the moment we have a small crane in Bournmouth somewhere I did not put it up so don't know where it is, and I have not seen anything else in the forward planner but as soon as I do I will let you know ok. All the best Lewis If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.
