Blanking plate removal
Hi,
I undid the two screws holding control panel that came out quite easily and then unclipped the blanking plate from the back.

For those ordering and receiving a vehicle with no audio fitted at all, 3 of the speaker locations are wired perfectly (speaker connectors are taped/velcroed up out of the way) with the correct connectors. On the front passenger side of my LHD 110, the speaker wires were there, but not the right connector. So in this corner I had to connect the ends (which come with the speakers) to the wires, after having cut the odd-man-out connector off.

You need an ISO/LR adapter for Pioneer HUs, which themselves have a Pioneer/ISO adapter supplied.

I found a pretty nice double USB extension cable and snap-in fascia online in the US - Dual USB A Female to A Male Panel Mount - which fits OK into the blank space where the electric window switch isn't.

You can fit a 5.25" speaker in the stock location at the front if you do some hole trimming (or use a spacer), there's c. 50mm mounting depth available from the stock plastic front to the ducts (I have a non-AC car). I used 4" here but hindsight is great. 6.5" fits at the back with some judicious Dremelling of the plastic covers, I fitted coaxes for now with c. 65 mm mounting depth.

The plastic covers have 2 part numbers, with (4") holes and without holes. The without-hole parts were supplied with my non-audio car. Annoyingly, they have hole 'blanks' moulded into the plastic, which makes fitting anything other than 4" speakers slightly more difficult, as you have to cut through the recessed mould edges, and attach your fixings around it. Works but could have been easier. The plastic is pretty soft and melty.
