Belize Green Td5 90 Project - Repaint ??
Bought this little 90 last week, mechanically she is A1 with only 53,000mls on.

But the body work is poor, no corrosion but lots of little dings and bumps, wings were sprayed badly before so they definitely need to be done.

Can't decide what direction to take....so thought I would ask you lot Thumbs Up

A - Do I leave as is and just touch up the bad bits and respray wings etc.

B - Renew door skins, replace damaged panels then Respray all panels in Belize Green.

C - Complete Respray in a new colour but I'm not keen on landy with different colour bulkhead and interior !

Many Tks

Nigel.

A for me. A bit of patina is a good thing I think. There's nothing worse than a shiny defender. Cover it in good honest mud and you'll never see any of the paint issues Thumbs Up

To me it looks like it's worth spending a few quid and getting it sorted, low mileage Td5's are few and far between.
Get the doors done properly, the electrolysis will only come back otherwise, then fill in a few dents, tidy it up, do all the prep work yourself and get a price for a spray when you're ready, doing the prep is the time consuming and costly part. You can do it yourself, just patience needed really.
Keep the same colour though.

Change the doors to the old style with the galvanized strip, I don't like the new doors without them.

You can keep the same color, it's a real landy color.

You don't have tp paint all parts at the same time. Whistle

Tks for the replies lads, food for thought....

Spraying it is not an issue as I've done plenty of that.... its just to decide how much effort to put into it, I bought it to tidy up and move on, as its unlikely to replace the 200tdi 110 Whistle
