Finally picked up my new 90 today after having had a sneak preview last Tuesday when it was being unloaded at Harwoods. Great day with bright sunshine and the kids in the back with windows wide open
Usually factory upgrades with privacy glass inc rear door, rear step/electrics/tow ball, carpets, front/rear rubber mats, upgraded audio, steering protection bar Not many mods planned though having a rear door stay added to stop little fingers getting trapped and the usually rustproof and security tweaks (but not to the point of Fort Knox - have a train to catch every day and dont want to get up half an hour earlier to undo/unbolt/unlock everything ) Using some of the lists off the forum, had a good look round and under her and couldn't see anything out of place but will have a longer look at the weekend. So thanks to the members on the forum for their knowledge in helping a first-time owner Also got given a defender mug by the dealer - bonus! Nice one Mike, great looking truck...
Two words... Waterproofing & Security... Get a decent tracker and a couple of good quality layers, or you could be getting a taxi back from the station one day, and it needn't take an age to lock up and unlock... Rog... The GREEN One... Thanks everyone!!
Re: Waterproofing - it's gone to Zag today with 24miles on the clock and bone dry so should tick that box. Very strange handling the keys over to my new truck having only just picked it up Security - tracker on its way and pedal lock ordered. Couple of other additions that I've picked up from the forum re: spare and bonnet and alarm so enough to mean I'm not keeping the taxi company in profit hopefully. Have to say, Defender drivers are a friendly bunch. Passed about 4 today and three waved Look forward to saying hi to anyone I bump into (not literally) around the Horsham area Mike |

Having your truck 'Zagg'd' is the best possible start
We often have Defenders driven straight from Zags to here. Our red 90 was driven from the supplying dealer to Zags and I intended to do the same with the JEE that we've just bought but was delighted to discover that the previous owner had already employed his services |
