Hi lookes identical to mine except mine has a silver roof......the chuffed feeling lasts for weeks...but the fear of theft will kick in around about now! then the that rusts quickly sensation will come around easter ..........................but the stupid grin will last a lifetime through breakdowns, leaks and servicing costs. when you dinatrolled did you notice surface rust on the welds of the chassis or was it just mine! |

Ah! Yes, I have already got the security worries! And no doubt in the not too distant future it will probably leak something or other! But I have learnt all this over the past year on the forum, so hopefully not too much of a shock!
I didn't see any rust on the chassis that was obvious. A few bolts were showing signs and some of the steering linkage ..... But I have drowned it with cavity wax and external dinitrol. Should hold it back for a few months! strangely, I didn't see any rust on the insides of the holes on the rear cross member. The chassis jig at the factory locates into those holes and sometimes causes a scratch or mark. This of course then rusts! I have seen quite a few new defenders with those marks. A visit to the factory back in January made that an obvious issue. 2015 90 XS Santorini Black |

Great looking 90
Looks like you already have specced the usual options, now time to make it your own! Or just leave it as is and enjoy it and grow into it for a while before you start modifying it too far!
