I'll get the multimeter out and start stabbing wires. |

Hold on. MAC 22. Before you go off stabbing wires at will. What are you powering ?
You may well pull to large a current thru something and cost yourself thousands. On a more professional route, may be use your ignition feed to trigger a relay, which will receive a power supply directly from the battery. Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires. |

Hi Martin
The feed will be powering the DRLs which is fused and rated @ 5 amps. So the draw is quite small. |

I good point about current draw, I used mine too power the most excellent cruise control from Mobile Centre. I think it had a one amp fuse! I would with five amps be inclined to a direct battery feed and a relay ( Fused) combined OEM switch using a current blank on the dash.

I have taken an ignition feed from the cable that supplies the heater fan motor. There is only 2 - cant remember from memory what color! You can verify the voltage without stabbing the cables by probing the connection point. Its located on the passenger side at the bulkhead. Cable for DRL routed up the inner wing behind the washer bottle. |

If you are using a DRL controller you shouldn't need an ignition feed
If you are not using one bear in mind it is illegal for your DRL's to run at full brightness at the same time as your sidelights |
