Finished all the Jack Reacher books, what should I read next ?
I like the 'action' style and I read a lot so would prefer a series of books - any recommendations ? |

Jim Grant pen name Lee Child is in my opinion a one off author writing in the genre of a tough loner who always becomes the hero and he’s a British author. Though if you enjoy the type of drifter character that is Jack Reacher then try Lawrence Blocks book ‘In a Walk Among the Tombstones’ or Jed walker books especially ‘James Phelan The Spy’ For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

A little bit different but Roger Zelazny’s books Damnation Alley you might find a good read, a book featuring Hell Tanner, an imprisoned killer, who is offered a full pardon in exchange for taking on a suicide mission—a drive through "Damnation Alley" across a ruined America from Los Angeles to Boston
And ‘Jack of Shadows’ from the same author For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Matt, they have a tendancy of drawing you in and all other life stops.....including that of the many victims. Whilst the books are not serialised there is reference to historic cases and it is best to read them in order. I still have two to go.

Funny, I'm just working my way through Jack Reacher. Just finished book four. I started by reading his latest book, then got hooked and started at the beginning.
I'm liking the stories, but they are getting a bit formulaic. I'll see if that gets better/worse as the series goes on. In the past I've liked James Patterson's Alex Cross series, and also books by Micheal Connelly (Lincoln Lawyer...etc). John Grisham's legal stories are also good. Cheers Simon |
