Why do you think bas did it ? I'm sure LR could map their own cars for a bit more power.

I'd like to know the details of this "upgrade" too. I'm living in hope that my "Friendly L.R. Dealer" could install it for me, but I ain't betting my house on it?

I very much doubt it will be available as a legitimate dealer update when it arrives on the new cars, I also think it will be tied to the latest ecu part number used on the DSC models FH12-12K520-AD as well as locked within SDD as not to be able to be put on a non 150bhp vin numbered car. But time will tell when they let it out.
The MY16 car will have a G in 10th place of the vin instead of a F which will be used allong with a A, V or W in 6th place to tell SDD that its a MY16 90 and nothing else. That tied in with the other checks the tool will make to the car may stop them adding the 150bhp to any other car than what its supposed to be on. All speculation on my part of course and their will no doubt be also other application methods going to be available soon anyway that will be less vin critical Pete |
