Great vid David...
Love the intro too... You are seriously fortunate to have your own purpose built off-roading facility too... As for preference, suffice to say I am NOT on LandCruiser2.net innit... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

Yeah same, it doesn't quite have the character but it's an almighty piece of engineering & design. The current generation maybe not as rough and ready as previous ones though, doubt they'll be as long-lived as say the 80-series Cheers, David

Hello David, from Aus.
Is this your family's property/estate etc?..How big is it?...Looks absolutely beautiful. In Aus, the Landcruiser Diesel is a TTV8, 4.5L, & around 195KW & 650NM,...a pretty potent beast,..a friend of mine has one, the grunt/torque is incredible. I have no desire to own a Landcruiser, not my go at all, but in Aus, if ya want a big powerful 4WD to tow a van etc, & travel around Aus, the turbo diesel Landcruiser is the vehicle by which all others are judged....there are squillions of them on the road down here. But, for sure, I just love the Defender for what it is, I love the history, I love to look at it, & of course I love to drive it. However, for an "all round" vehicle, that's good on the road, in the bush, towing a big van over very long distances in fact just about anywhere, the Landcruiser TT Diesel takes a lot of beating,...but it ain't for me. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it. Pickles. |

Thanks, just a bit of woodland- not really as big as it looks but big enough to have a bit of fun!
Yes the land cruiser is a seriously impressive all rounder and the engine is sweet as a nut, Not sure it's worth the same as a Range Rover or 3 defenders though...? Sure it's perfect for Australia, yes. Tows like a dream and eats up miles. Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

In Aus, a Defender 110 S/W is $48K, and the Landcruiser Diesel is $84K.
There is only one trim level/version of the 110 S/W available to us, and although more expensive versions of the Landcruiser are available, the trim level on the base model is very comprehensive. Pickles. NB: "Just a bit of woodland"?...It looks to me, as if you are the "master of understatement"! |

Two great motors, both coped with the track very easily by the looks of things. You just need to get the Range Rover out now

Yeah they're both great cars. Range Rover probably as capable as either to be honest, but it just feels to precious! Cheers, David
