Just stumbled across this thread whist purusing this forum and the Disco 3 forum. We met in the middle of nowhere on about day 2 of your trip - I was in the red Toyota Landcruiser with roof tent with two mates in a silver Defender and a silver D2. Glad you had a great trip and made it home safely! Great pictures. The three of us also had a great time and got back ok.

cheers

Steve

Good to hear from you, glad your trip went well Thumbs Up

We are starting to plan another trip next year, are you going back at all? And routes you have in mind??

That's us Thumbs Up

Yes, the track just after we met you was good fun, I went up it in the Land Cruiser but Chris in the D2 was worried about his ground clearance so we turned back Rolling Eyes and did a deviation to get to the top of the track. Took us an hour or so, hence when we saw you again later that day at lunch time you were ahead of us.

We will be going back next year. We've been broadly to the same area for the last three years but done lots of different tracks each time - there is so much to do there isn't there? We based ourselves near a place called Sort for 4 days and each day we did different tracks. Snow stopped play on two of the days though Cool

Will be in touch again.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Guys,

Just been called over by my husband to watch yet another off road Landrover video,...but wow !!!
Well, for the first time I have watched a really interesting and well shot film,.. makes one feel quite jealous not to have been part of the fun.
We have a bolt hole near Gibraltar in southern Andalusia and usually travel down from Santander on the near empty motorway via Seville...so fast but boring! Now inspired by you, next time we would like to be more adventurous and go off road with the Defender (or maybe my Disco 3?) en route.

So, anybody have a route from Santander to Gibraltar taking in some "interesting" diversions along the way?

Fantastic video and amazing landscapes captured on film!

Echoing the other comments- it's inspiring my wife and I to do a bit more research on those routes to see if we can make a trip of it next year Smile

Hah. I had seen it then promptly forgot so thanks for the reminder. I didn't realise you had followed it exactly. Do you recommend it "as is" or is there anywhere you would do it differently? Cheers again.
