Not necessarily Defender related... but could be in the future.
I went and got a Maypole 730 S battery charger, as the Mrs' car often sits for long periods of time and the battery goes flat.
It is a pain to jump, easier to take the battery out and charge it up... but I've never used one of these battery chargers before.
It doesn't seem to do anything.. plug it in, let it sit and do its thing - and nada, zip, nuffink.
How long are these things supposed to take to charge up a flat battery? I even tried it with a brand new Varta battery, figured it shipped flat, same thing. Thinking I got a dud unit from Amazon.
Anyone every use one of these Maypole chargers before?

Check the fuse if that's OK put a multi or voltmeter on the clips and see if there is a current. If its a duff send it back and get a CTEK charger instead best there is. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
