Fitting sound proofing
Bit of a basic question ......

I've some sound proofing in the post - a bulk pack of the butyl foil stuff and a closed cell foam layer to go on top - all in it's going to be around 8mm thick.

So I'm wondering a few things ....

Will it be possible the put that thickness om the inside faces of rear tub / wheel boxes and still fit the rubber load liner ?

What do folk do around the rear speaker / wire covers .... If I remove them and go right into the corner I wouldn't expect the trim to fit anymore ? Do you go into the corner but leave the fitting surface alone ?

What about forward facing rear seats - do they bolt through that thickness ok ? It does it look pinched / compressed as the sound proofing is squeezed down ?

Any practical tips for getting a good finish would be much appreciated !
