"A regular mileage service plan covering fleets for five years and 50,000 miles will be priced £475, while companies whose cars will travel up to 75,000 miles in five years can opt for a high mileage plan, priced £659." If I'm reading this correctly then it's that price for the full term, i.e., £95 per annum if you do under 10k per annum. Why are Defender owners not able to get much manufacturer supported deals when they appear to be available on all other Land Rover models? |

The price quoted is per year, not the term of the agreement

Hi All,
At this time Land Rover are not offering a servicing plan for the current defenders that are scheduled to cease production in December 2015. However, many of the Land Rover approved retailers do offer their own service packages for various vehicles and you may wish to contact your local retailer for further information. Many thanks, Pete |

Pete
Thanks for the response but I wanted to know if there was an official response to "why"; I already knew they didn't exist. I appreciate that you may not know the answert to this immediately, but who is in change of such programmes within LR? Can you ask for a response from them? |

Hi Supacat,
The service plans currently offered on our vehicles were introduced in line with new production vehicles / facelifts. Therefore when the decision was made as to which vehicles to offer service plans with, the Freelander and Defender were not included due to the stage of their production life. Since this decision, the Freelander has ceased production and the Defender in its current form is scheduled to cease production in December 2015. It is worth noting that Service Plans are still offered by individual retailers for all vehicles and will vary between the franchises, therefore I would suggest speaking with your local retailer for a quotation. Many thanks, Pete |
