The dealers and tyre companies around here used to sell brand new take offs for £50 each. They were only £80 new. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

RED-DOT, tyres must be cheap around your way!
I was basing it on my-tyres.co.uk who are the cheapest outlet I could find, £110 delivered each new and a recent eBay auction that finished on £230 for a set of 5 all with 6mm tread. I priced the tyres based on £50 x 4 for the used ones and £100 x 1 for the spare. To be honest I set it that way expecting to be knocked down anyway, maybe it's too expensive who knows, I'm not in a rush so if they don't sell I will drop the price in a month or so or maybe someone will make me an offer! Doubt I'll sell them on here now though!!! Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |

Oh the irony of RED-DOT claiming somebody else's Classified is expensive.

My tyre outlet used to give £50 for delivery mileage ice creamers for upgraded tyres. He had almost a container full of them and stopped offering this deal. He was selling them on for no profit and struggled. PM me and i can supply his contacts. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Martin,
As a tyre I think they are great. Not too noisy on the road (bit noisier than my old BFG AT's) along with good road handling, off road I've not taken them in really gloopy stuff yet but they are at least as good as the AT's and having read lots of reviews I'm convinced they will offer plenty more. The aggressive looking tread certainly suggests so! My only gripe at the moment is that I seem to be unable to balance them, not sure if it's my wheels or what but they wanted a lot of weight and so far my experiment with balancing beads isn't working (see my thread in the wheel and tyre section). Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |
