I've got a Def 90 TDCi HD HT and find the ride really choppy when empty. I've looked around the web and can't find if the springs fitted are HD or SD? Lot's of confusing contradictory info... SW springs are the same as the HD HT and so on...
I've been looking at replacing them to achieve a more comfortable ride and wondered if anyone has any experience with this. Have found some standard springs white/pink/green and don't know if these will be any better. Please help! |

I had Koni's fitted to my 90 CSW back in October and find that there isn't a huge amount of difference in the ride. It's a little more compliant than it was with standard dampers, but only a little. Those of you who also have the Koni's fitted - do you know which of the three adjustment settings they are on? Mine are meant to be on the softest, but I've got a feeling they're not going by other peoples reported improvements to the ride quality.
Also, ever since mine were fitted I've had a knocking from the rear end which has been attributed to the bottom mounts at the back, has anyone else had this? I swapped the bushes for Superpro which made no difference at all, still rattled. Have just had standard rubber bushes put back on, which seems to have solved it for the moment. Time will tell! I am now thinking about swapping the springs on mine as well to try to get it to ride a bit better. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |

Mine are set to the softest setting. There was certainly a difference from my perspective on the country roads there is less bounce etc. Darren

Decided to go for Bilsteins not Konis but then played a fair bit with different springs. Defender Puma 2.2 XS 90 Vespa GTS 300 Way too many racing bikes. |
