Armed police stop criminal in Defender
Just absolutely s..t myself Shocked

I was on my way to get nuts and bolts for work when I passed through some temporary traffic lights.
Sitting at the lights was a police BMW and boy did he look at me, which was a bit strange.
When I got to the nut and bolt place 5 mins later I was just locking the defender and 3 police cars surrounded me, cops ,guns etc, whoa..... what the hell is going on ! they proceeded to ask me who I was , where I had come from and luckily I had all my documents with me. They made me stand there while their radio was crackling away. Longest 5 mins of my life.
Then he came back and apologised and said they were looking for a vehicle like mine but it was definitley not me they wanted. The cop wouldnt say what it was about???
The lads at the shop were having a real good laugh through the window...thanks guys.
So if you have committed a crime in the Halifax/Brighouse area in the last hour ....please hand yourself in because I dont think my heart could take another surprise like that Laughing 2003 Td5 90

If the police had arived a little later and you had been coming out of the nuts and bolts place and holding a package they probably would have Tasered you first and asked question later…. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Yeh but I could have sued for it and bought me a new defender Laughing

Actually I was wearing a body warmer/vest type thing so I am surprised it wasnt 2 shots to the head and ask questions later Shocked 2003 Td5 90

Wish I never mentioned the body warmer thing, if it helps it was a green barbour one with a tear in the front and baler band hanging out of the pockets, tbh I should have been arrested just for the smell coming from it Laughing

@ Grenadier , Im probably a combination of the top 3,

@ ginjez, like I said "you aint sin me" I was in the CP at Bapps. I will keep a look out and give you a defender wave, I keep my horses near mount tabor/warley and my business is in Elland but I live at Shibden for now so I am surprised I havent seen you.

I have asked my neighbour as he is chief inspector to find out who they were after and what the defender had to do with it all. I will post when I find out.
