Things have been getting in the way of my build but I have now turned a corner. The last thing to do to the chassis was to have cage mounts fitted which was not easy as I did not want to change the apperance of my 90. After a lot of ring round and asking questions I ended up in belper talking to Bowler motorsport and having one of there full internal cages fitted. Next step is to galvanise the chassis and paint it. Engine gearbox radiator fuel wireing brakes etc are now all done ready to be fitted to the chassis and then drive it

The bowler cage mounts are a work of art and look a lot better than just welding on slabs of steel.
All being well I will be driving it this year

This certainly looks like an interesting build, will be following closely!

Do you have any more pictures of the mountings for the front hoop of the cage? I'm toying with fitting one to mine but doing the mounts myself Very Happy Do you know if the mounts meet MSA regs?

I am using these wheels http://www.silverlinewheels-tyres.com/4x4/wheels/aluminium/2/41 in 18 inch size

The roll cage mounts are made and designed by Bowler they are not ALRC spec but I think they pass MSA regs. I am not bothered because I wanted a full internal cage and this was the best I could find. I dont want to be a miserable git but Bowler did me a favour fitting these mounts and I do not want to repay them by helping anyone nick there work. If you want a cage ring Bowler and buy one they are not much more than all the rest and a lot better

i think a pair of hutchinson wheels would look the dogs on this; i don't know if they do a 18" to fit over the brakes tho.. I've heard of a 17" pair before defender fitment hmm Shocked
