Remapping a td5
Forgive what may be a naive, or frequently asked question but I'm new to the forum.
Is it worth considering remapping the Td5? If so what are the main advantages? Are some services better than others? ...and finally, is it worth doing when the mileage is over 100K.? Thanks for any advice.

Do a search on the topic. There have been many many many posts about it. Or just go to Gary at Alive tuning, and leave as a happy man.

The fcx trim shop td5 has a bas tune on I think its around 150bhp give or take and it makes a massive difference. If I remember rightly it was first done to 184bhp but that was just stupidly fast and I could see that I was using all the power and eventually something would give and cause issues but only due to my heavy foot
Go for it you wont go back to standard

So... I would love to bring my Td5 across the pond for a tune.... but it's not going to happen. So, what are the options, being that nobody over here has done it before?

Any feedback on the Allisport Adjustable Electronic Tuning Kit? Considering a new intercooler and tuning it.

Pete does an Android based device so can put a map, or a set of maps on it and you can upload them to your ECU as and when. Think alive have recently started using the same device to!

Think we omitted to mention Ian Baughan (IRBDevelopments) also a sponsor here!

A legend in Td5 (and Puma) tuning!
Not heard of anything he doesn't know on the subject!
