Are there any pop top versions out there, or does anyone have one?

Figures of £6,000 - £7,000 are not uncommon to what I have heard.
The big problem when looking at these major purchases is that it can be difficult to physically see what various companies have to offer. The show at Bad Kissingen is a good way of seeing various companies products at the same time. Seeing such things in the 'flesh' so to to speak you can see the good and bad points about each company design. Last year some of our friends went round the show and it helped them clarify their views on what they wanted from a vehicle to suit their own needs. So do your research carefully. I understand that offroad hesch are limiting the number of vehicles they are doing per year. Brendan |

Dont forget the original pop top - the Dormobile one is well tested and proven over the years and not as expensive as some others ...

Found this link - looks like there is another UK choice (although not UK supplied)
http://xs4x4.parts/pop-top-kit-land-rover-defender-110-642-p.asp I thinks it's from alu-cab. I also thought MudSuiff/Safari Equipe had sold their converted defenders and that they were from here http://www.safari-centre.com/poptop.html Have they found an alternative source? I spoke to them at the LRO show in 2013 (so my info. may be a bit out of date ) as I was, and still am, interested in such a conversion. Tony |
