I normally get the oil from Amazon as it's the cheapest I've ever found and then usually get a full service kit from ebay.
It normally costs me around £60 (ish). That is a good buy from Advanced Factors though! Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Did mine for around £60, bought all the filters etc from RST Land Rover, then went to my local Euro Car Parts for the oil. Oil tends to be expensive to post as you need 2x5L's.

I've just managed to get all quality oils (Engine, Gbox, Tbox & Axles) for just under £120 from Opie oils (using forum discount), and used my local supplier Barry 4x4 for the filters OEM for £20.
So £140 all in, £150 if you had to buy some grease! Land Rover wanted £500+! Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |

If you can find someone who has a Costco Card, they do a 4-litre of the right Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 A1 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil ACEA A5/B5 Ford-Approved oil for £18+VAT IIRC - that's where I get mine (I use the same in the Defender, my Volvo, and MrsK's Evoque).
£52.54 on OPIE's site just now, and I think you get an extra discount if you put DEF2 in the voucher space when ordering Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

F k. I was at Costco in Essex in Dec.
Martin K, Just done a full change/service in France (Nov) do you know when will the next one be due? Our friends who have the Costco card are driving to the Alps next week. Worth doing? Wouldn't want the oil to sit around for (example) 2 years and 'turn', assuming it does have a shelf-life? Hi Grenadier
The manufacturers say their products have a 5 year shelf life, we bought multiple 5l tubs when we were raving and I was wary of having it sitting around too long. I have attached a Mobil chart discussing shelf life http://www.mobilindustrial.com/ind/english...ations.pdf Cheers John 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

Thanks Jomara, but I do wonder why you would need multiple 5L tubs whilst raving? I would have thought baby oil or bubbles would be better?
On a serious note though, thank you. Will ask them to get me a batch for next oil change. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
