Stick with standard parts.
You don't carry heavy loads or do extreme off-roading. The standard set up is probably the best compromise, and it will be easy to get replacements in future. LRI and others have sets of "new" take off springs for a reasonable price. |

Standard Genuine springs are the way forward. I wouldn't put Britpart springs on my car if you paid me!
As for the shocks, for that tiny mileage the standard Land Rover ones will do the job perfectly. |

You can also get HD genuine springs, there is a post on here showing the different spring rates. I've a feeling that 90 front std springs are the same rate as the HD rear springs. Also depends if yours is a HT or SW.
But as said above, it sounds like s new set of standard springs would do just fine. Cheers Simon Edit: link to spring rate chart http://www.red90.ca/rovers/springinfo.html and a discussion here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic23765....pring+rate |

Thanks Simon, she's a CSW
I have looked at new "take off" springs and shocks but unsure if they fit the earlier (1989) Ninety? Apart from the main stealers who sells OEM? All the major stockists, eBay etc seem to list Britpart, Terrifirma, OME, etc Any links would be great, Paul |

I bought some 'take-offs' for the 90, from UT. At around £60 for the set, it was ideal.
Unless you're going be loading the 90 up and going Laning, they'll be perfect. They should fit fine. (Hopefully). |

If I'm buying original/OEM I always go to the LR dealer. There is a guy (mainly on the Disco3 forum) called Nick (aka "The Large One") from Yeovil Land Rover.
I send him a PM and he gets back with a forum discount price. Great guy, great service (very knowledgeable) and great prices. cheers simon |

I've got terrafirma shocks on the rear of my 110. Nothing but good things to report so far. I have the +2 shocks but on standard springs. Doing the same to the front during Easter break. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!
