go to the page with your photos, hover over one and right click the mouse. Go down the menu & click on Properties. Highlight and copy the Address (URL), make sure it ends in .jpg. Back to our Forum and post like you would using the Img buttons.

Fitted the bracket to hold my Galaxy tab on the Mudstuff dash. Now its much more stable and does not flex like the old one did. Its a bit of flat sheet attached to the upright side of the Mudstuff centre dash and braced off the top Mudstuff dash pod.
With a combo of a Brodit mount and Nokia in car-phone holder bits. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Do you use the Tab for SatNavs, OS mapping etc? Have been uming and aghing about buying a 7" tab in lieu of SatNav. Was thinking iPad Mini (already set up for an iPad) but recently spotted the Galaxy Activ, (Not my spelling), which looks a lot more robust and fit for purpose. Happy with yours? Is it the 7"? Do you get good Android aps/mapping etc? Ta.

I use the 7" tablet for OS maps and sometimes for the Waze navigation app.
Happy with mine and does the job for me.

I use a 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab (7.7 I think).
Used with Copilot, works very well for onroad sat nav. Memory map for off road. Only problem is that in the sun, it overheats, refuses to charge, runs out of battery and shuts down. Sat Nav seems to drain the battery quite quickly as well.
For long trips in sunny climes, I have to take it off the dash to charge it up.

Thanks Inigo. Thumbs Up Does look like the right size as an alternative to satNav. The Activ is better at managing heat, cold, dust etc, so should be perfect. Also it has an easily replaceable battery. One concern was that the Activ does not seem to have 4G (I may be wrong). Do you need to use 4G for the mapping/satnav or just the wifi/gps? I will rarely use it for emails as for work I will still have my phone/main iPad. The Activ would be 99% about Navigation and overlanding.... Monsieur Le Grenadier

The CoPilot app includes all of Europe and you need to make sure you have enough room to store it. Not sure how much space it takes up.
No need for 4G on the move. Mine has a sim card in it as well, but I never really used it, using wifi at home or in a café/hotel was good enough for me.

Many thanks. Spoke to an IT mate of mine who is developing a 3D mapping app for skiing (which I have told him would be fricking superb for overland) and understands this stuff and he says that downloaded mapping uses up very little memory as it is basically small data pictures. And obviously streaming for SatNav uses up very little data just processor speed (for with the Activ is as new as it gets). Lastly it was GPS type, which he looked at and said was great. So should be good with 16gb and any photos etc can go on a SIM if really necessary.... Monsieur Le Grenadier

Drove to Solihull and back to do the Heritage Tour. Things allmost went bottoms up at 06:40 when 10 minutes into the journey I asked the boy whether he had picked up the envelope with all the paperwork up and the answer was no Shocked
Needless to say that even though that ate into my 'just if' time, we got there on time.
It never fails to be made to feel welcome at the LRE centres I've been to which makes every visit a pleasant experience. We did see one of the 147's but our group had to slum it in a Transit as the other hadn't come back yet from a refurbisment but the Transit did cause a bit of amusement when our guide and driver made contact with a parked Range Rover Sport Whistle That did take the edge off his tour a little as you could tell it had rattled him a little but like a true professional he carried on. Walking round the Defender build area was pretty good, it's amazing how flimsy the panels are untill they are braced with their inner skins and stiffeners and what gets you the most is the complete mix of Defender models on the line, never two the same.
The Heritage display is really worthwhile and you get to walk away with some intriguing bits of paper, copies of original paperwork issued with the first models sold. There's a few video displays of past moments in LR history and the whole set up will satiate most anoraks. You also get the one thing that has been fitted to most models since the first...... the cleat for the tilt. You get to take that home with you as a momento of your tour. It was also interesting to know that there is one other part that I didn't know, the short channel that acts as the stiffener under the rear wheel box that runs front to back on both sides of the tub, still the same part number!
It was amusing when at the start when we were al sat as strangers in the reception, one of the LRE guys asked would the Defender tour people join him for a short talk in another room all the smartly dressed people stayed sitting whilst the ones in the fleeces and comfortable clothes were the ones that got up and followed him!
I have got a few photos but to be honest they're no different to any you've allready seen before.
