CB in MSS Cubby Box
I have test fitted my cb into my MSS cubby. I always intended it to go in here but fitted to the dash temporarily and there it stayed. So not sure whether to do it properly after so long I mocked up a din mount out of mdf and an old radio cage and dropped it into the radio housing on the front. This is clearly a tidier solution! But, has anyone found a way to leace the mic plugged in with the lid shut? Will I definitely need an extension speaker? the CB is a Kernow Beta 1100 (same size as Midland 38 ) so there is plenty of space around it so I am wondering if that and the grill in the side of the radio housing will be enough not to need one.

i have an ext speaker for mine in MSS. didnt even bother trying it without one.

mic lead, i just leave the front smaller bit open a bit, magnet on back of mic works well too. Cheers

I installed the cb unit lower down the unit and took a section out of the metal at the back by the cubby box so lid can be closed whilst mic plugged in. I have since changed and put bigger unit in and mounted it at the top, because I never bothered to shut the lid, it's always got something init and no one is going to nick a CB.
