Best way to upgrade knackered steering
Hi I've got a 1986 90 which has significant play in the steering( as in you can turn the steering wheel 1/8 of a turn before the wheels do anything). I'm swapping a 200tdi from a disco in soon, can I use the possibly better steering box in my 90? Also is there any way to increase the steering proportion (I.e. Turn the wheels more per input to the steering wheel?) just to make the steering more like a normal car? Thanks anyone who replies! Surprised

Check the play in everything steering related - track rod ends/balljoints, swivel pins, bushes, column UJs.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Thanks a lot, is there a way to tell if the steering box itself is worn?
