I wonder how that would work if someone had paid their deposit and received a confirmed order? Or am I missing something

My personal view is these are not an investment at All.
Merely an enthusiasts collectable. I would not speculate on any of the three ltd editions. You would be better off placing the money in a series 1. |

I would tend to agree with you.
Look, I think they are all very nice, but investment?....I don't think so. If ya want an investment, then buy an original 50th V8, & I reckon you might have a chance. Pickles. |

Absolutely. Especially the 60k+ Autobiography..... Mental!! Think that's well at the top of its value curve. 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel. 2016 E220 CDI Night Edition Estate 2014 VW UP! 2x D3 and 1x D4 GONE |

If an original 50th comes to Melbourne, I'd love to see it. I've only ever seen one, & that was when Wifey & I were in England in 2001, We were staying at Petts Wood, and we saw this 50th parked in the Station car park. Didn't even know what it was then, but it was impressive, so I took a photo. At the time, we owned a Ford Bronco "SUV", 351 Ford Cleveland V8 4wd etc. Pickles. |

Will be a while away as I want to ship it with my 80. But I has been a handy travel car on our last trip to the UK. As mentioned in previous posts it is a German Spec 50th which has been fully rebuild with a JE 5.2. m

Only time will tell
If deposits has been placed, dealers will be instructed to cancel the contract and refund the deposit. |

I think Defenders may generally retain their value a little better than they historically do...the specials equally but i cant see to much appreciation.
The main desire of defenders long term, aren't from people who can spend or want to spend £60k maybe 30-40k but autobio's arent the mainstay defender audience Land Rover have strict rules on selling cars, especially if they think you are buying them to resell at t profit - although i bet there are some people who generally buy a couple.
