Insuring a 110 van? Try Aviva.
I got the insurance renewal notice for my 2014 110 van last week, Saga's price this year being £455. My annual mileage has gone up from 6000 to just under 8000, so I rang them to let them know and the premium went up some more (I forget exactly how much now).

I then tried LR's own insurance and that was £523 for the equivalent cover (including legal expenses, like Saga did).

To cut a long story short, I got it down to about £350 through 'Moneysavingexpert', but eventually tried Aviva on-line. I declared my few mods (roof rack, pipe tube, improved mud flaps, ply lining) and they said I'd have to ring them.

It took nearly an hour on the phone (an 0800 number for once), but as I'd tried on-line they gave me a discount and already having our house insured with them, that gave a further discount. The result: £236.00 all in, with the legal expenses, and a courtesy van if mine is out of action, included.

I am an oldie and live in the sticks, but that was cheaper than I paid for my old 2002 Berlingo a couple of years ago. I've no idea what they'll do for other folks, but they've got to be worth a try.

I hope this is of interest.

Assuming this is with full business use that is a good price. Are works trailers and contents also covered as that is always a big one for me with the LR as a farm vehicle.

I got £500 contents (nowhere near enough, but I'll sort that separately) but I don't tow anything (no towbar) so I didn't ask about that.

I can also recommend Aviva, so far their claims service has been very very good. See my other thread in the Off Topic section.

I have a separate Aviva policy for the contents ie tools, equipment, stock and parts. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Been with NFU for a couple of years with my non-work use 110. I might give Aviva a ring next time round. Thanks 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

Another Thumbs Up for Aviva they just paid out on my two vans that went up in smoke. They offered and paid out the exact figures I wanted for them no quibbles. 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile
