That might explain why one dealer can get Sawtooths and the other can't !
Taunton LR are in the same group as Matfords Exeter and they are the dealer in the link Windowlicker posted above selling the wheels. Taunton LR would be on the bottom of my list to deal with. I went there as a cash buyer when I got my first Puma and because we arrived in a Porsche the salesman would only consider selling me a Discovery. needless to say it was a very short visit ! Yeovil LR are about the best you can get and have always done their utmost to help, not only with sales but also repairs etc. They are also in the same group as Matfords so they should be able to source Sawtooths as well. I ordered mine with Black Pack in October. After speaking to dealer, Ryan at LR confirmed I would get mine, but not until May.
Anyway it would appear another reason why they have been withdrawn or in short supply is this is wheel appearing on the expensive Autobiography version. 2015 110 XS CSW Montalcino Red with Black Pack |

Question for Ryan,
I placed an order in October 2014 for a 110 Black Pack and have been advised in late January that it is in the "build pool" What is the "build pool" and what does it mean? Thanks, Christo |

There are only 180 Autobiography editions produced for the entire globe, so not much at all. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Hi Christo, At the point where an order is discussed with your retailer, it is submitted into a holding pool / build pool. Once the order is confirmed and finalised, the retailer have specific build slots made available to them that they are able to allocate your order to. Once this is done, they will be able to confirm your estimated delivery date based on the specific build slot it has been placed into. The retailers are then kept informed of the order status and in turn can keep customers up to date with the progress. I hope this has helped explain. Many thanks, Pete |
