Hi there !!
I'm starting the repairs of my "new" folding camper and I want to check the wiring diagram for the lights. This is the scheme that I do (trailer socket - trailer lights scheme) but I dont know if it is correct or not, so comments are welcome... Some questions: 1.- What is the difference between pins 5 and 7, both appears as 12V directly from the battery passing through the Lighting control. That means that I need to have my lights on to have 12V supply in the camper from the car? 2.- As far as can see there is not a pin for the reverse lights ¿why? In our case fog lights are not required but reverse ligths should be necessary. Thanks in advance for the help Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

there are three types of plugs/sockets for trailers
12N Is the normal one for towing pin Use 1 Nearside indicator 2 Rear Fog 3 Earth 4 Offside indicator 5 offside tail light 6 Stop 7 Nearside tail light and number plate There is no reversing light 12S Is the normal one for power supply to a caravan (supplements the use of 12N) pin Use 1 Reversing light 2 Caravan Battery 3 Earth 4 12v power 5 not used 6 refrigerator 7 not used It is normal to have two sockets/plugs for caravanning 12N (black) and 12S (Grey) However there is now a new 13pin single socket as follows: in Use 1 Nearside indicator 2 Rear Fog 3 Earth for pins 1-8 4 Offside indicator 5 offside tail light 6 Stop 7 Nearside tail light and number plate 8 Reversing light 9 Caravan Battery or interior lights (perm supply) 10 refrigerator (Ignition controlled supply) 11 Earth for pin 10 12 sensing device 13 Earth for pin 9 Does that help?
