parking sensors
Hello

I bought a set of four parking sensors to install on the back of my 110 ...

I know that some of you did that, but I've been around the car and I'm having some trouble on finding 4 spots to drill the holes to fit the sensors ...
I want them to be simetric, but later on I want to install a set of bumperettes (to prevent offroad damage) , so the corners would not be an option ....

Can you (those of you who fitted) post your pictures or links (I searched and could not find) with the sensors fitted so that I can see ? Very Happy

Thank you Regards
Joao

I was born with a pair of parking sensors that cost me nowt! Brown in colour but now needing a couple of pieces of glass placed in front of them to operate correctly! I suppose it's down to driving ability but parking sensors have never been a feature of my wishlist as I can park mine without them! Are you female perchance?

Hello dgardel ...
I'm not sure if the ones I bought fit on the ends like yours ... but I'll check that ...
Now in my 110 I can't fit that one on sides of the towbar ... can't reach there I think and don't have a nas step ... but I'll check that later on ... (can't see the last pic you posted ...)

And no K9F, I'm not a female ... Thumbs Up
but my wife has allready broke a stop light and the fog light (ok I broke the reverse light too!) and she's been annoying me to fit them ... no harm on fitting those I think! Very Happy
And I wont feel less "macho" just by fitting parking sensors on my car!! Mr. Green Regards

It is not 'a car' it is a Defender!
Rolling with laughter Not questioning your sexuality or macho-ness and I am cockahoop that you are a man and therefore your wife may indeed be a female in this liberal age of ours! Laughing I now fully understand your need for parking sensors due to the stoplight damage...wimmin can't park for Censored ! Most of 'em anyway...

Happy days! Just teach her how to park! Laughing If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

If you can't get them on the bottom of the rear panels then I am sure it would be possible to mount them on the rear crossmember.

Well, she won't take lessons for me, as I forgot to pull the handbrake the other day and the defender rolled onto a fence and broke the reverse light! Whistle ....
but she'll learn ! It will cost me some more rear lights along the way but what can I do ? She demands to drive the car sometimes beacause she loves it too!
The problem is she's used to drive an Astra GTC during the week, which has less 1,5m and a better turning circle .... Mr. Green

there are some areas on the rear crossmember that are not accessible or I'll have to double drill to reach the wires on the other side ... Yesterday arrived late night at home, couldn't check ... today I'll find a solution ... I'll post the result later this week ... Regards

Well Barbara is definitely female and definitely drives a Defender! Laughing

Where she works they triple park cars, (mainly by females)

)ne of the first items on the Defender was rear bumperettes with parking sensors fitted under the bumperettes. The sensors are fitted into a tube fitted to the underside of the bumperette. No photos at the moment though

Hi there!

Not too much problems with parking but the rear visibility is absolutely null in some cases and a good help will be much better.
In our case we are looking to put a camera system in the back.

Cheers! Eduardo
