Ah, thought you suggested she'd gone for a 90 Heritage and I just wondered what version...

Hi all
First post. I used to own a 110XS SW (Puma 2008) which ended up in a bad way after a roll...... I have been looking to replace this for sometime and been running a 10 year old disco 2. I have been trying to source a heritage 110 SW but all the local dealers appear to have been allocated only 1 of these each and all the heritage editions have sold out- most having been taken by deposits form 12 months ago! Looks like there are a few Adventure LE's about though. Looks like I am too late to the party unless anyone knows of any stock available? So have all the Heritages gone now? Thanks PS. I reckon that those who have got a heritage will be able to sell on at an immediate profit of a few quid (if they could bring themselves to do it!). |

Only Adventures left apparently.
Don't panick as I'm sure as soon as delivery comes a few will be in showrooms for sale. It's a long time from now till September and people change there minds. If you really want one just sit tight. |

Thanks Steve - I have left my details with a few dealers to be on "reserve".
Fingers crossed! |

Hi Robbo here...my first hello to every one, im from west aust, been reading posts about the heritage defenders on this forum. FYI
I raced into the dealer, as well as 5 others. ordered a heritage 110 with good will and price TBA on contract, paid a $2K deposit- thought it was a done deal- but the LR dealer today said they cant get any as they are all taken by other LR dealers and themselves....as aust will only get 100 units and most dealers are keeping them for themselves or dollar gains or...who knows....My deposit cheque was removed and contract void-hows that for bull sh*t. I spent all day trying to find a unit- and they havent even arrived in australia. I going to write to the CEO of jaguarlandrover - as this sucks, but I dont think they care. time for a beer. thanks matey's robbo |

My father left a deposit for a 90 SW Heritage with Hunters on the day that they came out, but they have rung him today and told him they cannot get hold of one I am majorly disappointed Pete

Had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Dealer finally got in touch to say I'd missed out on a car from their allocation. Boo hiss.
Speaking to a few dealers, it seems they've all been oversubscribed for the Heritage model and have been pleading with the factory to give them more than their meagre allocation, seemingly without success. |

Suppose they know how many defenders they can build before they cease production, so therefore don't have any more build slots.
Might make them go over list if anyone sells straight after taking delivery. |

I'm also new here, but did order a new Heritage 90 (SW) as we had no hardtop option in Australia. My dealer claims that only 5 Heritage models per dealer in Australia. I'm hoping it will come with A/C but am used to a 2000 TD5 110 whose A/C keeps your knees cool but nothing else, but it does have opening bulkhead vents. Also used to a 61 year old Series 1 107" Pickup that has vents but no fly screens in them, so that airstream comes with hot air, dust, bugs & small stones!
Only options chosen were the tow pack, max legal tint, paint & fabric protection. I intend to leave it as standard as possible, but will drag a caravan around Australia. Cheers Nigel |

Hi Avion8, with your heritage order-did you manage to get a unit confirmed?
its all very confusing dealing with dealers in Perth. You go on contract to buy, but they dont honour it. The celerbration defenders release has caused great frustration from LR and from dealers. Was you dealer in osborne park or cannington? I was told all contracts to buy, have ended from my dealer. im ringing around australia to get something, planning to drive it back to the west- but most dealers have enough orders taken in NSW. so it might an be impossible situation. thanks robbo |

Hi Robbo,
I have a contract to buy a motor vehicle & paid a sizable deposit. No specific vehicle details until March sometime so I was told, but did option the tow pack. I sincerely hope they do honor this legally binding contract - their words in bold letters across the bottom, as they have some good deals on demo's & new vehicles at the moment. As mentioned Southern Land Rover in Cannington only had an allocation of 5 Heritage models & seems that I got the fifth! Hope you track one down over East as with only 39 dealers in the whole of Australia that's not a lot of vehicles. Good luck. Cheers Nigel |
