What Eric said Thumbs Up Another reason i did not wait for one of the last Special Editions when i ordered the 15MY , would just have pulled the seats out, and put the SVX seat in

Must get round to getting another sometime, so the passenger will be happy Laughing California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

^^^Know someone here who has a special edition with Scheelman seats from new.... After his lengthy first hand comparison of his Scheelmans and my Recaros he now is seriously contemplating to take his seats out and replace with same as mine. There must be a serious difference to do something like that. Whistle You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I've just had a set of corbeau rss fitted by LRI with higher cubby box and momo steering wheel and the 250mile too and from was like night and day.......we originally had the half leather xs and I just found my posture was all wrong.
The RSS keep you upright and are superbly comfortable. Oh and 1" positioning closer to gearbox also contributes to making travel a litle more comfortable.

RSS highly worth investing in....I went for low sides and getting in/out is easy....the wife loves the comfort but thinks they look tacky Rolling with laughter So far my chums have not worked out their vinyl. I went for black stitch as they look more classy.

You really need to see them in the flesh...thy look so much better.

Also excellent service from the LRI chaps!

Go get!

I have fitted the Corbeau Boss Evos, DIY, 30mins

top for both, including removal of the original Puma seats. Pair in the front (considering a pair in the middle). Went for the Alcantara type material rather than leather as it remains an Alpine vehicle and I didn't want it too bling. City based, private vehicle I might have chosen leather. However, they're Smart, comfy, and exceptional value at £312 + delivery. They'll do a deal on that price if you contact them directly. Easy to fit. If I have one comment, I am only 5'8" and the seat dose rise under the knee. So I had to lift the rear to compensate. 5mins work. Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I can only confirm what Eric has said above. After 10k km in my current seats and having tried Eric's, I am going to take the plunge and splurge on a set of Recaros. I will admit that had the scheelmans been in a more spacious car Rolling with laughter they may have been okay, but at 1m93, these seats make my height impractical for the Defender.

The Scheelmans are comfortable seats if you are not as tall as Eric and I are, I wish I had sat in them in a Defender before buying them. They are too thick at the seat and at the backrest making me sit too high and and too forward. I cannot see traffic lights when at the front of the cue for example and my wife who is not as tall as I am, also finds that her knees are in the dash. The Recaros are slimmer and although do look rather racy do offer a level of comfort I am seeking as when the Defender comes out to play, we easily cover 1200km in a weekend-

I think the original Land Rover SVX Recaros look plenty "Defender", and are fully original texture fabric too. Thumbs Up

Changing them for the Scheel-Mann LR Edition.....? Shocked .....
