You need more information then that Andy.

On range we can exceed any of the figures already mentioned with our 110's exceeding 600 miles per tank and one should be approaching 1,000 miles. Good on those long journeys.

However some people might accuse me of cheating!

Hi Wayne,

Constantly keeping your vehicle below 2000rpm trying to squeeze out a few more miles per gallon is why you hear all your rattles and squeaks and end up chasing shadows for non-faults..
How's the latest saga going?.....On reflection no real need to reply.

no no I'm happy to respond (more than happy !).....

Swansea and back yesterday (c300miles)... the only real fault I have was I had to fill up at only 491 miles Sad

(took some great photos near Breacon - will post later but f - in busy at the moment ......)

any how after popping into Likes at very nice chap there mentioned a lot of these rattles could be psychological?) Embarassed

either way I now have my flint stone drop out floor panels for when my extension shaft, linkage rod, transfer box, abs modules and calipers all fail which as I'm sure we all know are intricately connected as is the air that seems to be getting into my washwipe spray which is a result of the annoying rattle seems to have developed since applying some more acf50 to the rear crossmember?

other than that all is going well - just the usual inconsistent rattle / clutch / gear engagement (the bloke at Likes also mentioned about the clutch / spring bit can stick / be stiff.........as I've thought before perhaps a new clutch is order of the day?

how you going Mal?

Hooked up with Rustyboxx today, went to see a tidy W plate TD5 with 60k miles on the clock and took my Landy that hadn't moved since October for a whirl. No sqeaks or rattles, psychological or otherwise.....24-27mpg (never expect or try to achieve more since the day I bought it).....happy as a sand flea at that!

Why the clever arse replies - the guy was asking a question.

Yes we have a 2.4 and I don't know the actual MPG after 36,000 miles. Could be interesting to know?

oops - I hope that wasn't aimed at me Shocked

611 miles on a tank equates to 37 mpg
normally getting 450 - 500 miles which equates to c 33 mpg.

above mpg's are from memory sorry (you'll have to do the sums to confirm).

I've got an 07 2.4 110 xs SW with roof rack and lots of kit in. 150,000 miles now.
I drive at normal speeds over a wide range of road types including motorways and cornish B roads and normaly get 400 miles out of a tank before the yellow light goes ping. (75lts in a 110 tank) so I think that makes about 28-30 mpg ish.
I drive arround the 2000 RPM mark most of the time when in the upper gears, but dont rev the engine beyond 3000 revs before changing up.

hope that this helps Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
