Mine is a TD5, but some tips here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic11741....=modulator
It came out without removing the wing, very tight but loosening the pedal box helped. I got my modulator from a local breaker for £150 and its been working fine for the last couple of years. Hope that helps Cheers Simon |

Hi Red Dot,
Dgardel's link to his workshop manual no longer seems to be working. I downloaded the manual and may be able to send it to you chunk by chunk if required. Alternatively perhaps 'pm' Daniele for an updated link perhaps? Are you sure it's the pump? A few checks you can carry out that won't take too long....I also had intermittent 3 amigos that got progressively worse.... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic33870.html?highlight=980+ohms If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Hi I am the three amigos TC, ABS and Handbrake light coming on randomly for about 8 months, , sometimes after 1 km sometimes after 200km, sometimes off road etc. always would reset after turning the engine on and off but started to get more frequent, I read a couple of posts here (as per K9F above) and also asked on AULRO, I was told to check the earths for the ABS (under seat, I reseated all the connections (pins) and checked the earths, since doing this no lights at all, it may be that simple for you (hopefully)

If it's intermittent it might not be the pump, you need a proper Landrover specific diagnostic tool. When i did mine I removed the air intake (not likely you can remove it without breaking the micro thin tabs ) so you can get to the pump mounts and only loosen the brake pedal box (6 bolts inside) you'll have enough room then.
