Well that's another landrover lost to the sea . It's the worst place on earth for any landrover . There is now sand and salt water in every nook and cranny that no jet wash will ever get out . I'm desperate to get my hands on one of the 400 being made , I even turned up at my dealer last week wi 40k and was told that I have no chance as all have gone .
I certainly wouldn't want this one in the video . A clueless and pointless advertisement for a special edition . Rubbish video .

Honestly mate , I'm really hissed off with seeing that . Disgraceful behaviour by LR . I wanted that car . It's never gonna be right after that .

Don't mean to be rude but you're wide of the mark there Keith.

No reason it should do any damage, and no doubt it'll be given a good thorough rinsing off back at HQ by Land Rover.

Mines launched a few jet skis etc and I've given it a good rinsing off afterwards using my ramps, and a recent under-car inspection revealed its immaculate under there.

Yes a 4x4 which spends its whole life dipped in and out of the sea launching, rarely being rinsed will suffer. But as others have said, it's not dissimilar to driving along a salted road. Cheers, David

Your not rude mate , I'm happy to listen to others views and comments . I just despise salt anywhere near my landrovers .
They can keep their heritage ...... I'll wait for the 5L V8 to be released . My deposits going down today for it . Whistle

Just needs a thorough rinse with something to neutralise the salt, I believe bicarbonate of soda does the trick Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 90 XS

Sorry Keith sometimes when I'm on my phone my messages come out a bit blunt because I forget to speak properly haha!

Yeah I know, it is a tricky one isn't it and I've seen both launching vehicles down by the seaside which have barely any metal left on them, and I also know people down in abersoch who launch with their cars (110s, s111, Nissan patrol) and a bit of TLC afterwards is enough to keep the rust at bay.

At the same time though, I do wonder whether I'll go through hub seals, wheel bearings etc more quickly with regular dunkings.... I just try to keep an eye underneath too!

Yes a 5.0 v8 wouldve been amazing!

May have to find myself a 50th in the future!! Cheers, David
