You will lose a touch of visability whatever type you mount, these are one of the best though as they are mounted to the vehicle cross member, other cheaper types are mounted to the body cappings as well.
Do a search on here for more info on sonics carrier, here is a pic, have others in my gallery Thumbs Up

They are very sturdy - I lost traction on a green-lane the other day, and when I looked round there was a hefty man bouncing up and down on mine to add balast, and it easily took it all in its stride. Buy it! Thumbs Up Peter
