Come summer I may replace my standard SVX Dual Tone wheels by 5 gloss black original Land Rover Wolf wheels (item VPLDW0095PVT) with the new BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 in our standard 235/85R16 sizes. This new tire should become available here in Europe as of July I read.
Do locking wheel nuts for these Wolf wheels exist, including for a 5th Wolf wheel mounted on the wheel carrier as a spare? I am talking about the below wheels and the nuts you can see on the second picture of my winter Wolfs. I doubt that Land Rover offer that themselves, so if anybody knows... That's all great of course, but why I am doing this? Yesterday morning my 4 original SVX Dual tone wheels and tires stored for winter were stolen together with a bunch of other expensive stuff from our outside storage. Police said 99.9% certainty that they now are in neighbouring France. So if anybody sees shortly a new listing on french ebay of 4 SVX Dual tone wheels with GG TR tires, give me a hollow. We will see with our home insurance on monday, but while they may well pay for new Dual tone wheels, I do like the look of my Wolf winter wheels on the SVX, and may go that route rather than buying the Dual tones again. One thing is for sure, from now on the summer or winter wheels which need to go into storage will remain at my dealers, I will not take them home anymore. Same for my wife's car. Thanks, Eric VPLDW0095PVT Click image to enlarge Wolf winter wheels with the nuts for which I would like a locking wheel nut set if possible. Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. They are normally listed for Discovery 89'-99 fitment, though obviously work fine on a Defender.

Thanks Mal for the link. Quickly checked and Bearmach are OEM, but someone on LRO forum also gave the link to these from Rimmer Bros. More expensive, but genuine... Is it worth to pay the premium for genuine for a set of these?

Genuine are probably the OEM ones in a box with green ovals on it...
The Bearmach ones can be found a bit cheaper: http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/rtc9535-l...1695-p.asp 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Welcome Eric, Bearmach make some good kit, I have these nuts on mine but I paid a little more from my local supplier. I don't really know if 'OEM' marked ones are better or indeed perhaps made by the same fabricator but the Bearmach ones are good quality items and have a protective cap that remains in place, I can vouch for them.

^^ I answered your PM before reading the above
I surely will check with Philippe and the team in the basement there (you know what I mean ), but fair chance that if they are available from the dealers themselves, I may buy them from LR Antwerp on next trip there... You know, Swiss prices, and then the CHF now at parity with the .... Eric You never actually own a Defender. Got them fitted to mine:
Click image to enlarge The Configured Vehicle Specification stated: "Wheel Nuts : Del Locking Wheel Nuts [055AF]". It was my understanding that the dealer fitted them rather than at the factory and the order states; "Locking Nut Set 75.00". I also came across this photo of the differences in size from the competition: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

No Wolf wheels with the new BFG All-Terrain KO2 for the summer in the end.....
Decided to stay original, so bought 4 new SVX Dual Tone wheels, with all that goes with it. Ready to load into the truck and take them to my tire fitters in an hour, who will fit with a set of new GG TR again. Eric Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender.
