Had similar issue with a Pioneer DD unit as it would only work with iphone 4 and 4s and was not able to download an update for it to work when iphone 5 came out.

So that's not a double din space they have in the dash then? ... Shocked

Just looked to be much bigger than a normal radio slot from the pics... Question
@Urban Truck - I am guessing it was wishful thinking, on my part, this would likely be a double din type aperture then... Big Cry

I sold my Pioneer iphone radio with the van. I hope the new owner is an Apple user... Laughing
As long as CarPlay doesn't support navigation apps like Waze, Navigon, etc... it's a no go for me.

@Rog the double DIN head units require a modified centre dash panel. There are loads of threads on this subject, but you'll see from the pics in this thread that with the double DIN dash panel the top row of buttons (hazard switch etc) get relocated to accommodate the larger aperture. All these double DIN centre dash panels (AFAIK) require you to chop the fixed air vents and clock panel off the top of your old dash panel and attach to the new double DIN panel. LR have never made a double DIN dash from the factory, it's all aftermarket. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

It's a nod to the series 3 sticks. Yellow to put it in 4 wheel drive and red for low box.
