Today I passed a garage in Ferndown Dorset along Ringwood Road cannot find it on any stocklists and would have to drive out there to get a phone number if anyone is seriously interested.
They have an ex Dorset Fire & Rescue 110 Defender on a G plate which would make it 1989/90. Wingtops are dented (slightly) and there are a few holes (two round ones in the back about 1.5" diameter in the floor where something may have been mounted or bungs are missing. The interior is functional seats intact but 'tired' needs new carpets/mats. No seats in the rear at all! The thing is that it has only 23,000 genuine miles! I reckon personally for the price you could be getting a sound reliable piece of engineering. If anyone is seriously interested 'pm' me or post and I'll hurl out there and get the number or the next time I'm passing if it's still there I'll get the phone number and post it anyway! Yes it is red by the way....very red! In fact fire engine red! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

It had indeed captivated my interest and I myself went back with a view of maybe purchasing it....For me it is not what I wish for...It is a 2.5 Petrol.....Nevertheless only 500 or so miles between MOTs...I also took a few photos for those that still may be interested....

Is that where you vanished too around 11:30? Went past your place a couple of times today doing a tree job just off Charminster Ave and was going to nip in on the way back but you were out

looks lovely. But why is the ignition barrel and light switch on the right? Shouldn't they be on the left?

I don't think it is the ignition barrel??? It's the choke I think you are looking at! The light switch could have been a 'blues and twos' addition!'
