Revised centre dash switch panel model. Owned for almost 3 years. County Hardtop (this is not the original County with seven seats) but the correct description. Confusing isn't it? It has a full-length headlining (no sunroof), two seats and cubby box in front, one matching fold-up seat in the back. Full rear load mat. It came with a full length roofrack, winch, 'A' frame and two big spotlights, light guards, alloys with 235.85 BFG AT's, spare is unused, rest have 10mm of tread left. Sony CD player with MP3 input. 56,000 miles (genuine). I fitted 2006 County rear side panels with genuine LR side windows (the bonded-in type which don't leak around the edges) last year and fitted new rear body cappings at the same time. Tow bar with single socket. Two previous owners who I either met or spoke to, to get history. Always been a second vehicle to us all. I had Ashcrofts put in the Disco 2 final drive gearing (receipt) and it was already remapped when I got it. Confirmed by Bell Auto Services (York) last year, when I took it in there for a remap when on holiday!! Thought it went well as it was.. It will cruise at 70mph easily. Central locking and electric windows and the heater does keep you warm in the winter.. The only reason I'm selling is that we are buying a Disco 3 as we want something better for long trips (I'm retired). It has only crossed a few fields and has never been offroaded as such. We keep it for winter use mainly and a little towing of a horsebox - only once this year with a nag inside. To try and make the ride more comfortable, it has black Bilsteins all round and slightly softer front springs (new when fitted). I have the originals and some softer rears. Small pile of new spares including discs and calipers and some bushes,. As I took all the bolt-on gear off it when I bought it, I need time to put it back and give it a full oil change and filters service and change the brake fluid, etc. ; we have a two week holiday coming up, so should be available towards the end of September, before if you're desperate. I had the winch bumper shot blasted and I need to spray it, for instance.. A few months ago the fuel pressure regulator was discovered to be leaking which had contaminated the clutch, and it had a new clutch, release mechanism, new dual mass flywheel and new fuel regulator, all genuine LR parts, which all cost £1100 inc. labour. I've owned it from 29k miles and done all my own servicing apart from the clutch job. before that a LR SH. After 17 other Landys, two of which I gave chassis-up rebuilds, I don't usually need to pay anyone! MoT January 2011. Advertised a bit early as we already have the Disco 'lined up'. I'll now attempt to put some photos on the gallery.. Recent photos don't show the winch and bolt-on stuff. However, there are some photos on the Disco3 site gallery, same username. Oh, I want £8500 for it, but no daft offers. It's a good'un.[/size] I live 15 miles west of Inverness. (Easyjet from Luton, Gatport Airwick or Bristol, Eastern from Manchester.) Make the most of this life, you may not have skis or a Landy in the next.

See my gallery, just uploaded three.. I think I mentioned I was doing them... Isn't it annoying when you know you've forgotten to mention something.. New silicone wiper blades - not yet fitted was one. Well, it might be important to someone in Wales or the Lake District.. No, it's gone.. Age related memory..
Later: Remembered - it also has a snorkel.. Make the most of this life, you may not have skis or a Landy in the next. Last edited by EdF on 21st Aug 2010 3:51pm. Edited 1 time in total |
