Have I missed someone posting on this?
Click image to enlarge http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.as...e=20150108 I thought there would be a few people on here that would have got excited about this - I certainly think it's interesting. The acceleration times quoted mean it would be quite a hoot on road and with not a little off road ability. Anyone remember the Honda Pilots when they first came out? I think someone turned up at a Comp Safari with one and was laughed at...until later in the day when it was lapping far faster than any of the other specials. I've also looked at the buggies used by the military - and one off sand rails/buggies: Click image to enlarge but this one appears to be that little bit special. I'll be watching the news groups for more information as it goes into full production & maybe seeing if I need to clear some space in the garage... |

We still use the Honda pilots at work. Great fun, not the fastest but when you get some office wallahs who have no clue they are impressed by them. The circuit we have for them, you can if you're brave do a complete lap on full throttle, lap after lap.

Bloody hell I'm surprised I hadn't come across this yet. Thanks for posting it up , it's a vehicle I need to investigate in depth as I'm doing my uni dissertation on a vehicle which is possibly going to be very similar. Pete

What are your thoughts after seeing it? I'm guessing that the Bowler Raptor will never be made, or at least not in a size I can fit into, so I may need to look at this a little more myself... Click image to enlarge Last edited by Supacat on 15th Jan 2015 11:42am. Edited 2 times in total |

Unless you own a 1000 acres this would get boring very quickly. It's for the "lucky" merkins who have thousands and thousands of square miles of empty desert.IMO, a Wildcat/EXR is pretty much wasted in the uk,wouldn't stop me owning a few Bowlers tho, . Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Interested to know why you think that Jimbob.
There's always been a market in the UK for vehicles with no doors, roof or windscreen and I'm guessing that most of the owners don't live on the huge country estates you suggest they should. |
